An unsuccessful yet fun and adventurous attempt to get this cache. The Stockton Bar is a large sandbar left by the ancient Lake Bonneville spanning between two mountain ranges just north of the town of Stockton. Brie and I picked the wrong day to try and get this one done. Due to all the rain we've been having on and off over the past few weeks as well as dealing with it that day as well we had to turn back because of poor road conditions. The Element performed well in the less than savory conditions but I didn't want to get get stuck out in the middle of nowhere in a rain storm, so we turned back with the intention of going back again sometime soon when the roads are dryer.

The road?

Mmmmm Muddy

Sego Lily

Glad to know that others are willing to brave the weather conditions in the name of geocaching. (Well, we couldn't wait forever this year, could we?) Also glad to know that you have a suitable vehicle. Is that the kind of mud that turns into concrete? Nice. The jail looks comfy and the lily with water droplets is quite stately. Looks like you and Brie had fun despite the DNF. I think the weather from here on out is going to be hot and dry...you'll have to tackle the adventure again soon. By the way, I like your blog set-up. Thanks for the sharing the story and photos.
